Many schools of thought talk about the foot being the driver of gait and motion however, I wholeheartedly disagree. It’s part of a complex kinematic chain and the foot drives ground reaction forces however, what about when the foot is in the air? During this phase the rest of the leg, hips, spine and shoulders are driving motion. We must remember, these systems drive from top to toe and toe to top.
